OWSI price £299As a Course Director my aim is to help you become the best Instructor you can be. Our OWSI programme is focused on teaching you the techniques to use the PADI system to its best.
Following on from the PADI Assistant Instructor programme is the Open Water Scuba Instructor program portion of the PADI IDC. The OWSI programme further hones your leadership and teaching skills to prepare you for life as a PADI Instructor.

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Program Course Prerequisites:

  • PADI Assistant Instructor certification or completed the AI portion of the IDC
  • Certified diver for at least six months
  • 60 logged dives (with experience in night, deep, and navigation)
  • Proof of CPR and first aid training within the last 24 months.

What it takes:

  • Self-study – Knowledge reviews, quizzes
  •  Lectures, presentations by a Course Director or assisting IDC Staff Instructor
  • Confined Water – Skills review and assessment, workshops and presentations
  • Open Water – Workshops, rescue assessment and presentations

You must have a minimum of 100 logged dives to become a PADI Instructor (though you can begin training as one with 60 logged dives).

Please note; To be in "teaching status" in the UK you will need an HSE medical and Insurance cover, if copies are taken to the IE your Instructor status will be achieved much faster.
