By Popular demand Vobster Quay is doing a trial openning on Wednesdays. This means your favourite dive center is open
Six days a week :).
The Trial is until the end of November so come on down...

Pumpkin Carving
12th October 2008 |
|
Island divers from the Isle of Wight are familiar faces on site at Vobster and have got in the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin fundraiser for PADI Project AWARE. On
2nd November Vobster will be hosting their underwater pumpkin carving event, with all welcome to bring along a pumpkin and carve away in the depths. There is an entry fee to the event in addition to site entry fee on the day, which will be donated to PADI Project AWARE.
Top Prize will be the new Limited edition Oceanic Shadow mask, in titanium :), with runners up receiving a free years membership.

New Shop

You won't recognise the ground floor of Vobster thanks to the hard work of all staff over the last three weeks. A total rearrangement has given us a treatment room, generous hire kit storage and a much enlarged shop which features a glass front viewing onto the water. The new shop is worlds apart from before and features a massively increased range of stock from spares, to full sets of kit and everything to tinker with your gear in between. Pop in to browse among the Fourth Element, Oceanic, Typhoon, Dive Rite, IST ranges. Our staff will be more than happy to make sure you get exactly the kit you need for your diving.

Put it on the TAB!

Regulars at Vobster will know that we have long operated a Tab system for everything on site from entry to gas fills and tasty snacks or well earned brews. Now we've gone one better and installed a brand new computer system to centralise and revolutionise payments in the shop. To use the system, simply show us the number on your orange tag to buy food, diver gear or cylinder fills and then pay it all off in the shop before you leave. Your balance will show up instantly and we can get you on your way to the pub quickly!
It just keeps getting better.

Vobster regulars, the
Sea Horse dive club have donated a new training wreck to the lake, placed carefully at 10m near the shallow
training platforms.
After a graceful slide beneath the surface, the wreck was checked out immediately by Seahorse club divers
and given the thumbs up.
Many thanks to Mark and everyone who helped that evening.
